The Arizona Cardinals have decided to go with the youth movement following a disastrous 0-4 start to the season.

On Sunday against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers, that included the rookie battery mate of Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk doing damage.

Down 6-0 and having taken over possession at their own 25-yard line, these two connected on a beautiful 75-yard touchdown strike. It came on Arizona’s first offensive play of the game.

As you can see, 49ers cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon blew his coverage. And once Kirk beat him over the top, there was no safety help from the home team.

Rosen and Co. took advantage of it in a big way to give Arizona an early lead in Santa Clara. This is the type of play the Cardinals anticipated when they benched veteran Sam Bradford for Rosen earlier in the season.
