Josh Allen was touted as a potential top 2018 NFL Draft pick before the 2017 season began, but his final season at Wyoming didn’t exactly go as planned. Allen completed just 57.2 percent of his passes while throwing 13 touchdowns and six interceptions heading into the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Central Michigan.

As uninspiring as his junior campaign has been, Allen is dealing strikes Friday in his final college football game. Early on, he’s completed 4-of-5 passes for 46 yards and two scores, including a gorgeous 23-yard touchdown strike to Jared Scott.

This is the type of throw that has NFL scouts drooling. Just check out the arm strength, the placement and the toughness of Allen to hang in the pocket and deliver the strike.

Here’s the second touchdown throw, which was nearly as impressive.

The reactions to this throw by some of the folks who cover football for a living show just how much this kind of throw elevates Allen’s stock.

None other than John Elway is on hand Friday to watch Allen play.

He, and many other general managers, are looking for a franchise passer. Depending on what Allen shows at the Senior Bowl and during his pre-draft meetings, combine and workouts, we could very well hear his name called early next April.
