WATCH: Jaylen Waddle hits afterburners on 51-yard TD

For the first time this season, the Alabama Crimson Tide seemed down for the count. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was struggling badly, then down 14, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle broke free with a game-changing touchdown.

The freshman wide receiver created a little separation on a slant pass and hauled in a bullet from Tagovailoa. Waddle turned on the jets, burned the Georgia Bulldogs defense and kept his balance along the sideline for the 51-yard touchdown.

Waddle’s big play couldn’t have come at a more crucial moment with the walls closing in on Alabama’s offense and doubt about their chances creeping in.

He turned a 14-point deficit into a one-score game and injected life back into Alabama’s sideline. Now in a crucial spot, the team that never trailed has a chance to pull off an incredible comeback and it might have all started with the freshman wide receiver.
