Jairzinho Rozenstruik was in need of a major statement against the better-known Junior Dos Santos in their heavyweight bout during UFC 252 Saturday night in Las Vegas. That’s especially true after he fell to Francis Ngannou in UFC 249 this past May.

It did not take too long for Rozenstruik to make that statement. Late in Round 2, the 248-pound fighter used all of his muscle to destroy Dos Santos with a filthy combo before ending the night in grand fashion.

That’s about as violent as it gets right there. As you can see, the referee stopped the fight quickly afterwards. What a brilliant performance from Rozenstruik as he moves to 5-1 in his UFC career.

Meanwhile, Dos Santos has now lost his third consecutive bout.

Ranked sixth in the heavyweight division heading into Saturday night’s fight in Vegas, it would not be a shock if Rozenstruik found himself in the top four when all is said and done.
