The Houston Astros have been waiting for George Springer to come alive again in October. He came alive on Thursday night with a three-run, go-ahead blast in Game 4 of the ALCS.

New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka, who came into the start on an incredible stretch of success in the postseason, allowed a walk and single to begin the inning. When he hung a splitter up just enough in the zone, Springer punished it for the go-ahead blast.

Springer entered the playoffs with 12 career postseason home runs in three years. He got off to a woeful start in the ALDS, but now seems to be heating up with his second home run in three games.

On a night when Zack Greinke is struggling with his command, Springer is coming through in the clutch to try and push his team to a 3-1 series lead.
