UFC 250 is currently taking place in Las Vegas. It’s going to be a fun event for the entire sports world. It is also taking place amid ongoing civil strife and protests following the murder of George Floyd last week.

Normally, sports of this ilk are meant to be an outlet. That’s especially true during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Light heavyweight fighter Devin Clark thinks otherwise. The South Dakota native took a knee and raised his first in protest prior to a bout with Alonzo Menifield at UFC 250. It was something else.

This is a sign of respect to those protesting in the United State and around the world on Saturday. Said protests have been massive.

It’s also a way to pay homage to free-agent NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has obviously been in the news a lot recently.

By the way, Clark defeated Menifield by decision to move to 12-4 in his professional career.
