Edwin Encarnacion is one of baseball’s best power hitters, but he isn’t known for his exceptional speed. But on Monday, the Cleveland Indians slugger was fast enough hitting an inside the park home run.
Encarnacion launched a ball into the left field corner. It not only nearly cleared the wall, but it was almost foul. As such, Los Angeles Angels Angels left fielder Justin Upton didn’t bother chasing after the ball.
That was a mistake.

While it was close to being foul, the ball clearly hit the line.

That’s certainly not the way that Encarnacion expected to hit his third home run of the season. Still, both he and the Indians will take it.
