WATCH: Dwayne Haskins gets away with blatant late hit out of bounds

Star quarterbacks often receive favorable treatment with calls, but it’s not often that it includes hits they deliver. That’s just what happened to Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who got away with a late hit out of bounds.

After running back Mike Weber fumbled, it was recovered and returned by Northwestern defensive back Travis Whillock. He then stepped out of bounds, only to be thrown to the ground by Haskins.

The officials clearly missed it and the penalty yardage could have been huge for Northwestern in a three-point game. Instead, Haskins was allowed to get away with a late hit and Northwestern’s drive stalled at its own 45-yard line.
