WATCH: Draft prospect Mitchell Wilcox hit in the face during combine drill

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The gauntlet is a receiving drill that helps determine how soft and reactive a player’s hands are, but it’s a drill Mitchell Wilcox failed miserably on Thursday.

The former USF tight end took a ball right to the face while doing the drill, and everyone who saw it had the same reaction.

Last season with the Bulls, Wilcox had 28 catches for 350 yards (12.5 yards per catch) with five touchdowns in 12 starts. He was even better in 2018, and could potentially make it at the NFL level.

However, regardless of his future it’ll be a while before Wilcox lives this one down.
