Doug Baldwin Sounds off on Richard Sherman’s Statement Regarding Roger Goodell

On Monday, Seattle Seahawks’ cornerback Richard Sherman stated that he thinks there is a conflict of interest between New England Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

When posed with the question about Sherman’s statement and whether there is a conflict of interest going on, Baldwin had this to say.

Of course. I mean Richard Sherman is probably one of the most intelligent football players in the league, if not one of the most intelligent people in the world. Obviously (Sherman’s claims) have some validity. You’d have to discuss it more with him. I don’t want to touch on the subject because I think that’s a subject he wants to expose a little bit more.

Leave it to Sherman’s buddy to jump on the bandwagon and agree with the defensive back regarding the issues currently at hand surrounding Deflate-gate.

Two things that we do know here is that Goodell and Kraft are buddies. That can definitely bring to light a potential conflict between the Patriots and the NFL.

As it relates to Sherman, Baldwin and the Seahawks, there’s no question that there is a completely different conflict between the team and the league office in New York City.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially during media day later this week.
