Heading into Sunday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers star Cody Bellinger was struggling at the plate. The 2019 National League MVP had just five hits in 36 at-bats for a measly average of .139 with just two RBI to his credit.

On Sunday, in the top of the first inning, he busted out of that mini-slump in a big way with a laser-beam two-run home run to right field.

Given his history of excellence at the plate, nobody in their right mind would expect Bellinger to stay in a slump for long. The way he broke this one was pretty awesome, and it gave the Dodgers an early 2-0 lead over the D-Backs in this game.
