WATCH: Cubs’ Jayson Heyward with insane diving catch

Spring training

Pitcher Jack Flaherty and the St. Louis Cardinals thought they had taken a 4-0 lead in the fifth inning on Thursday evening.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jayson Heyward had other ideas. With two outs and runners on second and third, Flaherty hit a shot to right center field. It initially looked like the ball would get down for a two-run double.

That’s when Heyward came out of absolutely nowhere to make an insane diving catch.

That might be one of the top catches we’ve seen around the baseball world this season. What an amazing play from the five-time Gold Glove winner.

On another note, Heyward and Chicago are being no-hit through five. Maybe he can bring some of this magic to the plate.
