WATCH: Charles Matthews hits game-winner as Michigan holds off Minnesota

Michigan escaped a potential upset at home against Minnesota Tuesday night as Charles Matthews played hero with a game-winning shot at the final buzzer.

The Golden Gophers had knotted the game up just before Matthews hit the game-winner. Then, Matthews grabbed an offensive rebound, found some space with a dribble and dropped in the winner as the final buzzer sounded.

Refs had to take a second look to make sure he actually got the shot off. After the review, they determined Matthews did just that.

The Wolverines were in danger of losing two straight after Wisconsin pulled away in the final minute on Saturday. Matthews saved them from that fate, and now they’re 18-1 with some momentum for another winning streak.
