WATCH: Celtics’ Gordon Hayward beats Kings with last-second shot

Fresh off scoring 30 points in a blowout win over the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night, Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward was back at it in California’s capital city.

Hayward might have only dropped 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting against the Sacramento Kings Wednesday evening. But the All-Star came through in the clutch.

With the game tied at 109 in the last seconds, Hayward drove to the left and finished strong right over Kings guard Buddy Hield.

This is the type of performance Utah Jazz fans became accustomed to during Hayward’s stellar seven-year career with the team.

It’s also what the Celtics expected when they signed him to a max contract during free agency back in 2017.

Unfortunately, Hayward suffered a serious leg injury in his first game as a member of the Celtics. He had not yet returned to form. Until now. And it couldn’t come at a better time for Boston.
