Putting the ball in the bucket. That’s what forward Carmelo Anthony has been known for during a brilliant career that has included 10 All-Star appearances.
Appearing in his first game as a member of the Portland Blazers on Tuesday night, Anthony got the start for his new team.
Like clockwork, Melo was out there shooting his shot early. That included the 35-year-old forward nailing his first three-point attempt as a member of the team.
That was the New Orleans Pelicans’ way of daring Anthony to shoot it after he had not suited up in an NBA game since Nov. 8 of the last year as a member of the Houston Rockets.
He made them pay dearly. At this rate, Anthony won’t have to worry about coming off the bench for a struggling Blazers squad.
