The Washington Nationals had been teeing off on Gerrit Cole and looked to add to their 5-2 lead in the top of the fifth inning, but then Carlos Correa made an incredible diving catch to put an end to a rough inning.
Howie Kendrick laced a line drive off Cole with Juan Soto on second base. Had the ball gotten through to the outfield, Soto was going to score.
Thankfully for the Astros, Correa made an exceptional play to nab this ball and end the inning.
This stopped the bleeding after the Nats had scored three runs in the top of the fifth after a couple of solo shots earlier in the game.
