WATCH: Browns’ Baker Mayfield leaves game with hand injury

The Cleveland Browns are playing for playoff relevance Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. At 5-6 on the season, Cleveland is one game out of the final wild card spot.

Unfortunately, the team might have to navigate through the remainder of the game without star quarterback Baker Mayfield. He exited late in the second quarter with an injury to his throwing hand after hitting it on Bud Dupree’s helmet.

Mayfield immediately went to the locker room and was replaced under center by backup Garrett Gilbert.

That does not look too good. As you can see, Mayfield was in obvious pain immediately after hitting Dupree’s helmet.

The quarterback had completed 10-of-17 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown prior to exiting a game that was tied at 10 at the half.

We’ll obviously have further updates as they become available.
