WATCH: Brent Celek gets standing ovation at 76ers game after Eagles’ release

On the same day as his release from the Philadelphia Eagles, tight end Brent Celek was in attendance at the Philadelphia 76ers basketball game.

The now former Eagle was given a rousing ovation by the Philadelphia faithful.

Celek was drafted by the Eagles in 2007 and remained with the team for the next 11 seasons. He caught 398 passes for 4,998 yards and of course, was a member of the Eagles Super Bowl LII championships. Celek was the longest-tenured member of the championship team.

He made an obvious impression on the Philadelphia fans, and judging by his reaction to the ovation, the love is mutual.
