Just a game after he made his MLB debut, Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen can now cross another milestone off the bucket list.
In the fourth inning, Jansen drilled a fastball into the bleachers for the first home run of his MLB career.
Jansen, ranked by MLB.com as the third-best prospect in Toronto’s system, is certainly making a good first impression. The young catcher shined in Triple-A Buffalo earlier this season with 12 home runs, 21 doubles and a .863 OPS.
After he caught Sean Reid-Foley in both of their MLB debuts, Jansen is now showing he can do it all. The future is extremely bright for the Blue Jays and Jansen will play a big part of it.
