Watch: Bears’ Chase Daniel with first blooper of the season

The Chicago Bears seem to be in mid-season form. In the first quarter of their initial preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night, the first blooper of the NFL season represented some bad news for the Bears.

Getting the start with Mitchell Trubisky taking the evening off in Canton, veteran backup Chase Daniel threw an interception off the helmet of his offensive lineman.

This is not a drill. It really happened. And it most definitely was not a Hall of Fame worthy play from Daniel.

How Daniel did not see his lineman is anyone’s guess. But it represented the first turnover of the preseason.

The good news? Barring an injury to Trubisky, Daniel will see very little action this coming regular season. The bad news? He’s Trubisky’s primary backup under first-year head coach Matt Nagy.
