WATCH: Astros’ Jose Altuve with huge HR to open Game 3

The Houston Astros are not wasting any time in an attempt to dispose of the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-game sweep to open the playoffs.

Already up 2-0 in the AL Divisional Series and taking on the Rays in Tampa Bay, former MVP Jose Altuve took his ex-teammate, Charlie Morton, deep in the top of the first for a 1-0 lead.

The ball traveled 409 feet to dead center and had an exit velocity of 104 MPH.

This is not the way Morton and Co. wanted to get Game 3 started as the team faces a quick elimination from the playoffs.

As it relates to the Astros, a win here would be huge. It would enable the team to set up its rotation in a likely ALCS matchup against the New York Yankees starting later this week.
