WATCH: Anthony Rendon comes up clutch with huge homer

The Washington Nationals were beside themselves after home plate umpire Sam Holbrook called Trea Turner out for baserunner interference in the top of the seventh inning Tuesday evening.

Up 3-2 in Game 6 against the Houston Astros, Washington was looking to even the series. If called correctly, they would have had runners on second and third with no outs.

Instead, Anthony Rendon took to the plate with two outs and a runner on first. He was taking on an Astros reliever in Will Harris who had not yielded an earned run throughout the postseason.

The end result? An absolutely clutch two-run homer from Rendon to give the Nationals a 5-2 lead.

It doesn’t get any bigger than that from Rendon. He needed to come up with a big hit to give the Nats some breathing room.

That’s exactly what the star did here. Absolutely amazing.
