Minnesota Timberwolves youngster Andrew Wiggins isn’t known for the highlight-reel plays. More bashful on offense than anything, he needs to up his game in this regard now that Jimmy Butler is hooping in Philadelphia.

That’s exactly what we saw from Wiggins Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. In a close game late in the fourth quarter, Wiggins threw down a crazy dunk. Not only that, he pretty much ended Pelicans big man Nikola Mirotic on the play.

Check it out.

Come on, man. That dude has a family to think about. You’re just going to ruin him in front of everyone he holds dear. That’s some mean stuff right there.

For his part, Wiggins had himself a heck of a game in a 107-100 win over New Orleans. He scored 23 points. Meanwhile, Mirotic exited late in the game with an ankle injury. But we’re pretty sure it’s his ego that’s bruised.
