The San Francisco 49ers had it going early against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.
In what was an electric atmosphere at Levi’s Stadium, fans were quieted a bit in the second quarter when starting running back Tevin Coleman went down with an arm injury.
Coleman was attempting to maintain his balance, but landed awkwardly on his arm. The end result was an ugly-looking elbow injury and Coleman being carted to the locker room.
A free-agent signing from the Falcons last spring, Coleman led the 49ers in rushing during their NFC Divisional Playoff win over the Minnesota Vikings with 105 yards.
This obviously is not great news for the 49ers. At the very least, they have Raheem Mostert to carry the load.
