WATCH: 49ers score after Seahawks fumble … twice

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers were on the verge of seeing their undefeated record come to an end against the Seattle Seahawks Monday night.

Down 21-10 after a mistake-filled performance on offense, San Francisco’s league-best defense stepped up in the fourth quarter.

Cornerback K’Waun Williams sacked Russell Wilson, who fumbled the ball. It was recovered by offensive tackle Germain Ifedi. He also fumbled, leading to Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner returning it 12 yards for a touchdown.

That’s just next level absurd there. We have no idea what the Seahawks were doing. We’re also pretty sure that Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll agreed with that sentiment.

What exactly was Ifedi doing there? Did he legit try to take the ball from his quarterback?

Either way, it resulted in eight points for the 49ers and a mere three-point deficit.
