Warriors’ Kevin Durant ruled out for Game 4 of NBA Finals

If the Golden State Warriors are going to even up the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors Friday night, they will have to do so without star forward Kevin Durant.

Golden State has ruled Durant out for Game 4 with a calf injury that has cost him the previous eight games.

The Warriors were previously optimistic that Durant could go for Game 4. Obviously, something went wrong over the course of the past 24 hours.

With both Durant and Klay Thompson (hamstring) sidelined in Game 3, Golden State fell to Toronto at home. This is despite the fact that Stephen Curry put up the eighth-most points (47) in NBA Finals history.

Thompson should be back for Friday with the Warriors down 2-1 in the series and pretty much facing a must-win scenario.
