Warren Sapp Arrested for Allegedly Soliciting a Prostitute and Assault

Hall of Fame defensive tackle and NFL Network media analyst Warren Sapp was arrested Monday morning for allegedly soliciting a prostitute in the hours following the Super Bowl in Arizona.

The report comes to us via the gossip rag TMZ.

Here are the details.

Warren Sapp was arrested in Phoenix this morning for soliciting a prostitute around 7AM … TMZ Sports has learned. Sapp was also arrested for assault. We’re told Sapp was taken into custody at a hotel in Downtown Phoenix.

Considering this is late-breaking news, there isn’t a whole bunch more to add to it.

Sapp was on hand in Glendale for the NFL Network’s coverage of the Super Bowl. He has also had a previous run-in with the law, which stemmed from a domestic battery claim back in 2010. Those charges were eventually dropped.

Known as an enigmatic media personality, Sapp’s post-NFL career has been nearly as successful as his playing days. However, this latest incident could have wide-ranging ramifications on his future with NFL Media.

We will update this story as more becomes available.
