Former Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Vince Young is back in the professional ranks. The 34-year-old signal caller officially inked a contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League on Thursday.
Young’s agent, Leigh Steinberg, made the announcement via Twitter.

Young had been linked to Saskatchewan over the past couple months with recent indications being that he would ultimately sign with the team (more on that here).
Out of the NFL since 2011, Young fell on hard times after jumping on to the scene with a Pro Bowl performance as a rookie in 2006. Young eventually bombed out with Tennessee and signed with Philadelphia in 2011, starting three games and throwing four touchdowns compared to nine interceptions.
He tried to make the cut with the Buffalo Bills in 2012 and Green Bay Packers in 2013 before ultimately being released by each team during the preseason. At 34 years old, it remains to be seen whether Young’s comeback attempt will include another shot in the NFL. But that seems highly unlikely at this point.
