Minnesota Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson is listed as questionable to play in Saturday’s game against the host Cincinnati Bengals.

Jefferson sustained a chest injury in Minnesota’s 3-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday while making a 15-yard catch across the middle on a pass from Josh Dobbs. Jefferson leaped for a high pass, and while both of his arms were raised, he absorbed a hard hit on the back right side of his ribs from Raiders safety Marcus Epps.

Jefferson, however, was a full participant in practice on Thursday after being limited in each of the previous two days.

While Jefferson and guard Chris Reed (illness) are questionable to play on Saturday, the Vikings ruled out running back Alexander Mattison (ankle), offensive tackle Brian O’Neill (ankle) and wide receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion).

Ty Chandler is expected to assume the starting role on Saturday in place of Mattison, who has a team-leading 660 yards rushing in 13 games this season.

Chandler has rushed for 203 yards and one touchdown, with 13 receptions for 90 yards.

David Quessenberry will be inserted into the lineup in place of O’Neill, who had yet to miss a start this season after recovering from offseason Achilles surgery.

Jefferson has 38 catches for 598 yards and three touchdowns in six games this season.
