The injury-prone young career of Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cooks has continued thus far during his sophomore campaign.
After having already missed three games to a hamstring injury, Cook has now officially been ruled out for Minnesota’s Week 7 outing against the New York Jets.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer rules Dalvin Cook out for Sunday. Jaguars have done the same with RB Leonard Fournette.

The former second-round pick from Florida State appeared in each of Minnesota’s first two games before missing its Week 3 outing against the Buffalo Bills. He’s since been sidelined for each of their past two games. This comes on the heels of Cook missing all but four games of his rookie season after suffering a torn ACL.
It’s rather apparent that the talented young running back has not been healthy throughout the entire season. When on the field, he’s averaging just 2.7 yards per attempt.
In Cook’s stead this week, veteran Latavius Murray will attempt to find holes against a Jets run defense that ranks in the middle of the pack. Murray compiled 155 yards and a touchdown in last week’s win over the Arizona Cardinals.
