Vikings’ Adam Thielen played through three broken bones in back

We can never again question the toughness of one Adam Thielen. In talking with the media recently, the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver noted that he once played through three broken bones in his back.

The injury occurred during Minnesota’s 2017 NFC Divisional Playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.

As the star receiver notes, he missed a couple plays before returning to action and utimately played in the NFC Championship Game the following week.

The two-time Pro Bowler suffered due to the injury, catching just three passes in a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Even then, this is absolutely ridiculous.

An undrafted free agent out of Minnesota State, Thielen has morphed into one of the best receivers in the game. He caught 113 passes for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns last season.
