Video emerges of assault leading to Redskins player’s arrest

Videos of violent off-field incidents involving NFL players is nothing new. Just ask former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt about that.

A day after being arrested on assault and battery and public intoxication charges in Virginia, a video has emerged depicting the incident surrounding Washington Redskins safety Montae Nicholson.

It’s not good. The video, obtained by TMZ Sports, shows Nicholson throwing and landing multiple punches at the victim, 24-year-old Sydney A. Maggiore of Vienna, Va.

Even after others attempted to restrain Nicholson, he still continued to go after the target. It led to two people being taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Nicholson was later arrested and booked into jail.

A fourth-round pick out of Michigan State last year, Nicholson has started seven games for the Redskins this season. The team has aware of the video and simply stated they are “gathering more information.”
