Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell recently attended a Utah football game, but Utah State isn’t going down without a fight for his fandom.
Zach Nyborg, the Director of Player Personnel at the Mountain West program, laid out the school’s pitch for Mitchell to attend a game. In addition to receiving a personalized jersey, Mitchell could serve as an honorary captain.

Here's what we got:
-White jersey for WHITEOUT 🔥✅
-Honorary Captain ✅
–@ESPNCFB televised 8:15pm ✅

The pitch also included a jersey and honorary flagbearer role for teammate Royce O’Neale, who attended the Utah game with Mitchell earlier in September.
Mitchell has yet to respond, but that’s an enticing proposal from Utah State. After all, the Aggies will probably end up having more wins than Utah in 2018.
Will he accept the offer? The ball is in Mitchell’s court now.
