Social media is flooded with April Fools’ Day jokes on this fine Monday. The U.S. Open Tennis Twitter account got into the action with a funny tweet, too, only everyone wishes it wasn’t a joke.
You see, the account playfully suggested adding puppies to the ballperson team at the 2019 U.S. Open.
My gut reaction was, “oh, please be true.”
Apparently, that’s what everyone else thought, too.
Dogs love to chase balls. There are plenty of loose balls at the U.S. Open. Puppies are also among the cutest thing on this blue planet. People would watch puppies chase tennis balls.
