That didn’t take long. Yury Gazinsky scored the first goal of the 2018 World Cup Thursday to put host nation Russia up 1-0 over Saudia Arabia.
Gazinsky was in the right place at the right time early in this match and executed a perfect header into the back of the net.
What a time to get your first international goal!
