Erik Jones had originally finished 24th on Sunday in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway but a post-race disqualification means he finishes last (38th) in the officially running order put out after inspection.
The Legacy Motor Club No. 43 did not meet the post-race minimum weight requirements after the race.
The minimum weight is based on a driver’s weight and the tolerance is roughly 17 pounds. The No. 43 was a randomly chosen car, which was also going to be sent back to NASCAR’s R&D Center alongside the Kaulig Racing No. 10 for a deeper inspection.
All other cars passed initial inspection and the results were confirmed with Denny Hamlin having won the race.
