During a press conference in Los Angeles to promote her upcoming Netflix return against Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey launched into a scathing rant about UFC legend Valentina Shevchenko and her income outside the Octagon.
“It’s why their champions, like Valentina, are selling pictures of their t***ies on OnlyFans, you know?” Rousey said to the gathered media at the Intuit Dome. The remark was intended to highlight the financial imbalance even elite champions face under the current UFC pay structure, where fighters reportedly receive less than 20% of the revenue compared to the 60% standard in major boxing events.
While her primary target was the promotion’s $7.7 billion valuation and its relatively low revenue share for fighting, she used the reigning flyweight champion as a specific example of what she called a broken system.
Shevchenko responds to Rousey’s OnlyFans ‘t***ies’ comment
However, the personal nature of the jab did not sit well with the 37-year-old champion from Kyrgyzstan. Shevchenko, who launched her OnlyFans page on New Year’s Eve 2024 to share behind-the-scenes training footage and travel vlogs, was quick to issue a response.
Taking to social media on Wednesday morning, “Bullet” dismissed Rousey’s hot take. “It’s 2026. Fighters using OnlyFans is just a new way to connect with fans,” Shevchenko wrote on X. She then delivered a reference to Rousey’s decade-long absence from the sport: “Looks like Ronda slept too long after her last fight in 2016.”
The exchange marks a new low in the relationship between the two stars, which had already been strained. Just last year, Shevchenko publicly defended Joe Rogan after Rousey criticized his MMA knowledge, stating that Rousey’s comments lacked “justice.” For now, the two fighters go their separate ways, and based on Rousey’s latest comments directed at the UFC, the two will likely never settle their differences inside the Octagon.
