The full shape of Most Valuable Promotions’ May 16 card is coming into focus. On Tuesday, MVP announced eight additional bouts for the event at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano.
The main card already features Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins and Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry, and the newly announced undercard brings a collection of former champions and established names from the sport.
Among the most notable additions on Tuesday is former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos, who will face Robelis Despaigne, a Karate Combat champion. Undefeated flyweight Muhammad Mokaev is also on the card, set to face legendary former ONE Championship flyweight champion Adriano Moraes in what shapes up as one of the more intriguing matchups of the night.
Rousey vs. Carano card adds Alex Pereira’s sister
Former Bellator welterweight champion Jason Jackson will take on Lorenz Larkin, while KSW lightweight champion Salahdine Parnasse is booked against Kenneth Cross. The card also features Aline Pereira — sister of UFC light heavyweight and middleweight champion Alex Pereira — taking on Jade Masson-Wong.
Pereira herself is a Karate Combat champion, adding another title pedigree to an already decorated lineup. The remaining announced bouts are David Mgoyan vs. Albert Morales and Namo Fazil vs. Jake Babian, with Chris Avila also confirmed for the card against an opponent still to be determined. Bout order has not yet been finalized.
