While there was a ton of bloody violence inside the Octagon at UFC 322, a wild brawl took place just feet away from the cage in the fighters’ section of the crowd.

UFC 322 went down inside New York’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. The jam-packed card was headlined by a pair of huge title bouts. In the headliner, former lightweight king Islam Makhachev moved up in weight to take on new welterweight champ Jack Della Maddalena. Well, before he took to the cage, it looks like some of his entourage got into a bit of fisticuffs, cage side.

During the evening’s main card, video emerged on social media (which you can find above) of a huge brawl near the fighter’s section of the crowd that needed a bunch of arena security and New York’s finest to separate.

At the center of it all was former Bellator fighter Dillon Danis. And it looked like the individuals he and some of his friends were clashing with might have been part of Islam Makhachev’s entourage. However, that is just speculation at this time, and hopefully, more information will come out during tonight’s post-fight press conference.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star and veteran MMA fighter has had issues with Makhachev’s crew dating back to the 2018 cage-side fight involving him and Makhachev’s close friend Khabib Nurmagomedov after he defeated Danis’ pal, Conor McGregor, at UFC 229. The two Dagestani stars share friends, and they may have seen fit to rekindle the years-long beef on Saturday night.
