While Conor McGregor claims he is ready to return to the Octagon, and against anyone, he is growing publicly frustrated with the lack of updates from the UFC.

It is understandable if Dana White and the UFC moved on from the idea of McGregor ever fighting again. After a pair of losses to Dustin Poirier and suffering a serious leg injury in 2021, the Irish superstar has remained on the sidelines.

In 2023 and then again in 2024, he was scheduled to face Michael Chandler. However, “Notorious” stalled on getting back into the drug testing program, then he backed out of the planned bout two years ago due to a toe injury. It gave many in and around the company the impression that McGregor had retired and just didn’t want to admit it.

However, when the UFC revealed plans last year for a fight card on the lawn of the White House, McGregor immediately let it be known that he wanted in. Yet, many questioned how serious he was about returning to the cage after five years and at 37 years old.

Well, the future UFC Hall of Famer looks to be sincere about his desire to return at some point this year, and has posted videos training for a comeback fight. Furthermore, he has claimed he is as clear-headed as he’s been in years. Last week,

White claimed that he and his team had planned out the full card for the White House event in June. That would then suggest they have reached out to McGregor about fighting on the card. Well, it looks like they haven’t, and the Irishman is getting frustrated with the lack of communication.

“Day 15 of ‘I accept, send the contract,'” McGregor wrote in a Monday morning post on X.

A key part of McGregor’s contract is getting pay-per-view points for his fights. However, with the company not doing PPVs currently after reaching a $7.7 billion agreement to air all their events on Paramount+, that part of his deal can’t be met.

It is possible the UFC knows he can’t be on the White House card and still isn’t sure about how they can get him back in the Octagon while meeting his financial demands. Which means the saga of will he or won’t he fight again will not end any time soon.
