UCLA sophomore standout Johnny Juzang declared for the NBA draft on Tuesday, but the second-team All-Pac-12 player will not hire an agent to maintain his eligibility.

Juzang (16.0 points per game) led UCLA to the Final Four where the Bruins lost to Gonzaga in one of the instant classics of NCAA Tournament history. Juzang scored 137 points – including 29 in the national semifinal vs. Gonzaga — in the team’s six tournament games, second only to Gail Goodrich (1965) in UCLA history.

“I am going continue to work and give the passion I always have and see where it takes me,” Juzang posted to Twitter. “I’ll then make an informed decision.”

Juzang transferred to UCLA after one season at Kentucky, where he averaged 2.9 points per game in 28 games (two starts) during his freshman season.
