The U.S. Open will return to The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., in 2038, the USGA announced Thursday.

The historic venue outside Boston previously hosted the U.S. Open in 1913, 1963, 1988 and 2022.

England’s Matt Fitzpatrick won last year’s tournament by one stroke over Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris.

Brookline also was selected to host the 2030 U.S. Girls’ Junior, 2034 U.S. Amateur and 2045 U.S. Women’s Open.

The course has previously hosted 17 USGA championships, second only to Merion Golf Club (Pa.) with 18.
