The Buffalo Bills and quarterback Tyrod Taylor came to terms on a six-year contract worth approximately $90 million.
Although playing it cautious, the Bills designed the contract with a way out if Taylor under-performs in 2016.

Per the report, Taylor will receive a guaranteed $9.5 million for 2016. Before the new deal was agreed upon Friday, Taylor would have made only $1 million for the season. Obviously, that would have been extremely low pay for any starting quarterback.
Taylor will definitely be looking to impress in 2016 with that enticing $27.5 million awaiting him in 2017.
The 27 year-old quarterback started in 14 games for the Bills in 2015. During that time, Taylor completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 3,035 yards, 20 touchdowns and only six interceptions
Proving handy as a mobile passer, Taylor also tallied 568 rushing yards and four touchdowns at a nice pace of 5.5 yards per attempt.
Considering the team’s previous quarterback project is draft bust E.J. Manuel from 2013, Taylor appears to be quite the breath of fresh air.
Although, due to the fact that Taylor was unable to complete a full season, it makes sense that the Bills are taking baby steps in this particular situation.
Hopefully, he can stay healthy and improve on his 7-6 win/loss record from last year. Otherwise, he can kiss that $27.5 million goodbye and the Bills will move on.
