Report: Despite rumors, Chiefs ‘aren’t interested’ in trading Tyreek Hill

There’s been some scuttlebutt recently around NFL circles that Tyreek Hill could potentially be traded by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Responding to a question about the rumors, Terez A Paylor of Yahoo Sports made it clear that “The Chiefs aren’t interested in trading Tyreek Hill.”

Paylor has been plugged into the Chiefs scene as an insider for years, and if anyone would have some notion that Hill was even remotely being talked about as a trade asset he’d be the one. So, this pretty much closes that door for now.

Before the rumors started flying around that Hill may be on the move, all the news surrounding the receiver following the conclusion of his legal issues revolved around him receiving a contract extension.

Set to play out the final year of his rookie deal, this former fifth-round pick out of West Alabama has emerged as one of the league’s top big-play specialists the past couple of years.

Last season, Hill had a career year catching 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns and is one of Patrick Mahomes’ preferred weapons in the passing game.
