The Seattle Seahawks activated wide receiver Tyler Lockett from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, but they are still several players away from returning to full health.
Lockett, Seattle’s leading receiver this year with 1,023 yards on 62 receptions, was the first player on the team last week to test positive for COVID-19 and was not ready to return from the health and safety protocols in time to play the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday.
Nine Seahawks players remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Tight end Will Dissly was added Tuesday night after the Seahawks lost to the Rams and returned home. He joined running back Travis Homer, right tackle Brandon Shell, defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr., defensive tackle Bryan Mone and cornerback D.J. Reed, who were unable to play Tuesday.
Seattle’s totals also includes three practice squad players: cornerback Michael Jackson Sr., tight end Ryan Izzo and offensive lineman Pier-Olivier Lestage.
The Seahawks (5-9) face the Chicago Bears (4-10) on Sunday. The Bears placed standout defensive tackle Akiem Hicks on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
