Matt Patricia’s first game as head coach of the Detroit Lions has not gone well. In fact, it’s been a complete disaster.
Through three quarters, Matthew Stafford had thrown four interceptions, the Lions had allowed long touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams, and the New York Jets held a commanding 48-17 lead.
At one point, the Lions were booed off of the field.
This has all made Twitter a rather entertaining place.
The good news for Patricia is that it’s hard to imagine it getting much worse from here. But clearly there’s a great deal of work to be done.
