As the No. 4-ranked Michigan Wolverines prepared for “The Game” against the No. 10-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, a spot in the College Football Playoff and a shot at defining his legacy was on the line for Jim Harbaugh. Instead, he failed miserably.

This was Harbaugh’s chance to finally best Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes — the moment he could finally prove himself as one of the top coaches in the country and get the big win. Instead, Meyer’s Buckeyes blasted the Wolverines out of the playoff picture.

While the score was close at halftime with Ohio State leading 24-19, it required a costly gaffe on a kickoff return that gave a touchdown to the Wolverines. Once the second half began, Ohio State returned to dominance.

The Buckeye quickly turned a five-point lead into a 22-point lead by the end of the fourth quarter. It was a game dominated by Ohio State from start to finish in nearly every phase of the game and at every point of the game.

Finally, the humiliation came to a slow, painful end for Harbaugh as the final seconds ticked away and Ohio State walked away with a 62-39 victory.

Following Michigan’s humiliating loss and the crushing end to its playoff hopes, Twitter immediately started roasting Harbaugh and his inability to beat a big program, and Urban Meyer, once again.
