Syracuse entered college football Week 2 as the No. 21-ranked team in the nation. That’s not going to hold up after the Orange were utterly humiliated by Maryland on Saturday.
The Terrapins opened up a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter, and it was a boat race to the finish line from there.
Ultimately, they beat Syracuse by the blowout score of 63-20.
Former Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson was superb. The run game racked up 354 yard and six scores. The defense stepped up big time, shutting down the Orange run game while forcing two turnovers.
It was just complete domination from the Terps. Fans reacted accordingly.
