The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting the New York Mets for a double-header on Thursday. It’s safe to say that Game 1 did not go well for the home team.
The Mets, too often on the wrong side of the joke, came alive to beat the tar out of the Phillies.
Even Philadelphia’s Twitter feed couldn’t help but have some fun at the absurdity of it all.
Plenty of other people joined in on the fun, both during and after the game.
The two teams play once more on Thursday, then three more times over the weekend. The next four games certainly have a tough act to follow.
