Kentucky entered Saturday’s game against Florida with the nation’s worst losing streak against a single team, having lost to the Gators 31 straight times.

That all changed with a brilliant performance by the Wildcats, who powered their way to a 27-16 win.

Running back Benny Snell Jr. and quarterback Terry Wilson dominated on the ground, thanks to a phenomenal effort by the offensive line. Receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. had a big game through the air, catching four passes for 79 yards, including the back-breaker — a 54-yard touchdown in the third quarter that gave Kentucky a 21-10 lead.

Kentucky’s defense did plenty to pitch into this win as well, including a touchdown on a fumble recovery in the game’s final moments.

In the end, the Wildcats won 27-16, stunning The Swamp and the Gators in a major way.

Twitter reacted to the huge upset win that broke the 31-game losing streak — the second major streak that was broken on Saturday in college football.
